MAG® Brand Magnesium Chloride Flakes

Magnesium Chloride melts effectively down to -13°F and is proven to be a more effective, less damaging and environmentally safer ice melter. Magnesium Chloride is environmentally friendlier because on a pound for pound basis, it contains 43% less chlorides than rock salt (sodium chloride) and results in significantly less chloride runoff than potassium or calcium chloride. Magnesium chloride is also safer to use around plants and bushes and is less corrosive on steel, tin and aluminum than calcium and sodium chloride which can result in less breakdown of these metals into soil.

Bralan Energy Ice Melter Products
Bralan Energy offers three premium ice melter products. Our line up of Icinator products are scientifically engineered, high performance and eco-friendly. All of our products contain Calcium Magnesium Chloride to ensure high performance at lower temperatures. These products are gentle on concrete and vegetation.
Icinator
This is a white odourless granule that is active up to -20C or -4F.
PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
Icinator is comprised of pure sodium chloride that is
uniformly infused with calcium chloride throughout the pelletized granules.
The product will not leave any insolubles or smelly residue.
Its unique structure and composition prevents the product
from tracking.
Premium Icinator
This is a blue odourless granule that is effective up to -30C or -22F.
PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
Icinator Premium is comprised of pure sodium
chloride that is uniformly infused with calcium
chloride. The product is further screened to a
uniform ¼” size to enable a uniform melting rate
when applied. 100% of the granule is effective to
melt down to –22F.
Icinator Premium will melt 18% more ice versus rock salt at 14
F. 88% more ice at –4 C and 100% more ice at –22 F Testing
was performed using Method SHRP H-205.2. The product will
not leave any insoluble or smelly residue. Its unique structure
and composition prevents the product from tracking.
